Latest Customer Information 21st May 2020

After the latest government announcement on 10th May 2020 which proposed the easing of lockdown and the gradual return to work of tradesmen and outdoor workers. Blue Anchor Leisure Ltd have made the decision to allow tradesmen, maintenance and other essential outdoor workers to return to our sites.

We would like to assure you that as a company Blue Anchor Leisure Ltd have taken the necessary measures to ensure the safety of our tradesmen, maintenance and outdoor workers. Risk assessments have taken place on all sites and all employees are fully compliant with the latest covid-19 guidance.

With the return of both tradesmen and outdoor workers we are now allowing access on site to our pre-approved third party contractors. If you require any service or maintenance work from these companies, they must contact the Pitch Policy team before any work is conducted. Blue Anchor Leisure Ltd requires all third-party contractors to provide proof of their covid-19 risk assessment and compliance procedures before access on site is permitted. This allow us to keep both our employees and third-party tradesmen safe at all times.

We would like to reiterate that as a holiday park we remain closed and cannot allow access onto our parks for anyone other than our Blue Anchor Leisure Ltd tradesmen, maintenance and outdoor workers. We continue to advise you not to travel here as visiting your caravan is not classed as a form of exercise. Anyone found attempting to access our parks will be escorted off site by our security teams.

During the continued closure period our site managers, maintenance workers and security team will be working tirelessly to ensure all parks are secure, well maintained and ready for your safe return. Our enhanced security measures will continue to provide you with 24-hour security, protecting your caravans. Regular updates for individual sites can be found on our Blue Anchor Leisure Ltd social media page.

If you require any maintenance on your caravans which includes gas and electrical tests or wish to contact the Pitch Policy Team then please contact our office on:

01754 897 897

Please bear with us at this difficult and challenging time, as to abide with social distancing measures our offices are currently operating on a reduced core staff team whom are working from home. The main office line is open 9am-5pm daily. If you are unable to reach us then please leave us a message on our automated answering machine and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

We again would like to thank you for your continued loyalty and support and aim to provide you with regular updates when possible.

Kind Regards

The Blue Anchor Team

Blue Anchor Statement 23rd March 2020

Dear Customer

These are unprecedented times. We all have a responsibility to consider not just ourselves but to the people of our country, the local community and on our parks.

Decisions are being made and actions are being taken which were unimaginable a few weeks ago.

Following the latest government guidelines, we have taken the difficult decision to close all of our parks within 48 hours of today’s date (23/03/2020). During the next 48 hours we will not be allowing people to travel to our parks and stay overnight. Anyone currently on our parks will have to leave in the next 48 hours. If you have any questions or queries in regards to this then please contact your site office.

Our customers and staff are at the forefront of any decisions we make; therefore, it is vital we consider the full impact of these trying times. As we are currently unaware of the duration of these measures implemented by the Government will last, possible refunds on ground rents will be reviewed once all the parks are re-opened.

We ask for your patience at this difficult time. Our management team and front-line staff only have access to the same information available on the government website as the general public regarding updates on COVID-19. We can assure you that we are continuously monitoring press releases.

Thank goodness for the announcements of support which have come from the Government which should help us be ready to resume business just as soon as the crisis passes. We will be making every effort to ensure all Blue Anchor staff are looked after during this period. We are continuing to speak to all our holiday customers who have bookings in the upcoming weeks to ask them to stay away and to offer alternative dates when the crisis is over.

We ask private owners on the parks NOT to stay in your holiday caravan at this time and to be sensitive towards the views and needs of our local community and the NHS. We are expecting the government to give us more guidance very shortly. We have had a clear message that holiday parks must not stay open.

The time for you to leave in a safe and orderly way is now. If there is any reason why you cannot leave, you need to contact us immediately to discuss.

We are following the Government’s guidance so closing our parks to protect you and the wider society. We hope that you can all support us during this difficult time and understand our decision. We appreciate all your efforts in adhering to the government guidelines.
